Updated 4 days ago

What currencies can I transfer on SendApp?

You can only send money in the currency of the country where you originally signed up. This means the currency you can send will match your home country’s currency when you attempt to set up a transfer. More details below:

Sending money from Nigeria? (your signup country is Nigeria):

-- Naira (#) via bank Transfer.

Sending money from Europe? (your signup country is in Europe):

-- Euro (€) via debit or credit cards,

-- Naira (#) via bank transfer.

Sending money from the United States? (your signup country is United States):

-- USD ($) via debit or credit cards,

-- Naira (#) via bank transfer.

Sending money from the United Kingdom? (your signup country is United Kingdom):

-- British Pounds (£) via debit or credit cards,

-- Naira (#) via bank transfer.

Why can’t I send money in other currencies on SendApp?

We made a recent update that ensures smoother, more efficient, and cost-effective transactions for you. This means that you’ll only be able to send money in the currency of the country where you originally signed up. This change is designed to reduce transaction issues, improve success rates, and ensure a seamless transaction process every time you send money. If you have a Naira account and want to send Naira, you can still do this via the bank transfer option regardless of your signup country.

I want to send a different currency. Can I change my country?

To change/update your signup country, you must possess a valid proof of residence in the country you would like to update to.

To proceed, contact our support team via the chat messenger in the app and share a bank statement or utility bill (energy bill, phone bill etc.) as proof of residence in that country.

Note:

  • The bank statement/utility bill must be issued within the last 3 months,

  • The bank statement/utility bill must clearly state your full name and address.
