What exactly are you applying for?
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE is offering shares to members of the public through an Initial Public Offering, or IPO.
An IPO is simply the first time a company offers its shares to the public. A share represents a small piece of ownership in a company.
When you apply during an IPO, you are requesting a certain number of shares. Once the offer closes, shares are allotted to successful applicants. Any shares allotted to you are then registered in your name through the relevant capital-market infrastructure.
It’s important to remember that applying and paying for shares does not mean they have already been allotted to you. Final allotment depends on demand for the offer.
Who can apply through Send App?
Eligible customers with a Bank Verification Number (BVN) can begin the application process through Send App.
Your BVN is used to verify your identity and ensure your application is correctly linked to you.
As you go through the application, you’ll also be asked for information including your Next of Kin details, a bank account in your name for any dividends and unallotted refunds, and your CSCS/CHN details, if you already have them.
Don’t have a CSCS/CHN? You can still continue. You’ll be guided through the process of setting one up through Chapel Hill Denham.

What happens after you apply?
This part is important.
A successful payment means your application has been submitted. It does not mean your shares have been allotted yet.
Once the offer closes, the allotment process determines how many shares each successful applicant receives.
If demand is higher than the number of shares available, the IPO may be oversubscribed. In that case, you may receive only part of the shares you applied for.
For example, if the IPO is oversubscribed and you apply for 100 shares, you may be allotted only 70 shares instead of the full 100.
Once allotment is complete, the shares allotted to you will be registered in your name through CSCS. We’ll also keep you updated on your application, allotment and any applicable refund via the app and email
